Posted By Mark Morgan Hi, I hope you can help me.
We recently surveyed a building and found some vinyl tiles and bitumen (containing Chrysotile)underneath newly laid carpet floor tiles. The ACMs are in good condition and the survey recommends labelling and annual inspections.
Do I need to place a warning label underneath every carpet tile? or how else would you label this?

Posted By Dave Wilson No need as you would not see them any way!
As long as you have an asbestos plan in place and let people know they are there before they lift the carpet then that should suffice.
HSE do not like labelling as what if the label falls of or is painted over etc. You then get well that's OK its not asi as it doesn't have a label
