Posted By Les Welling I do not think that it matters what industry you work in. In regards to accident investigation, the aims and the objectives of accident investigation remain the same. IOSH run a very good course "Accident/loss investigation and evidence gathering" I understand that the British Safety Council run a similar course. Hope this helps Les

Posted By GT Babu, Dont't mean to hi-jack your thread but if you work in India perhaps you can throw sum light on this report I have had. accident at RATNAGIRI POWER GAS LIMITED (Formerly known as DABHOL POWER PROJECT) killing 5 people. At tank 300, tank wall insulation work is in progress. When peoples were working with sort of Sky Climber(Not very sure about this equipment whether skyclimber or else) it fall down from height of 30 m causing death of 5 workers(3 working inside and 2 working below) and injuring leg of 1 worker.
