Posted By ian Good morning all Does anyone have a Risk Assessment or details, related to the risks associated with finished polyurethane products i.e. polyurethane foam. We have a contractor stripping 'finished product' insulation from heating tanks. The dust is considered to be an irritant. We are advising the contractor to ensure compliance with COSHH - definition of dust i.e. concentration in air equal to or greater than 10 mg.m -3 8 hour TWA of inhalable dust or 4 mg.m-3 8 hour TWA of respirable dust. The contractor has provided his operatives with air feed masks, coveralls & gloves. My contractor is concerned that there may be more significant ('sinister') risks, when working with this unpleasant dust. Any occupational health information/advise would be most appreciated Ian
