Should we cut the cost of PPE to remain competitive?

Posted By Eddie Campbell A colleague currently working the Middle East sent me an interesting photograph the other day. You can view it here: http://freespace.virgin....campbell/Safety%20Stuff/You may well have seen this before but it may be worth a look. It is Friday after all. His thoughts are that it clearly illustrates how the shipyards in the Far East are enabling cost savings in their PPE budgets. This in turn enables their customers to drive down their capital expenditure when upgrading their shipping fleet. Making your summer cruise through the Mediterranean so much cheaper. Could this be one of the reasons why we are no longer a ship building nation? Comments?

Posted By Alan Nicholls Hi Eddie Not seen the pic before. Looks like a new use for cling film. Keeps him fresh I suppose.
Perhaps H&S has a little way to go here.
Bless him he obviously doesn't know any better.
Weekend again wooppee.
