Are taxis exempt from the law covering the rest of us.
My daughter got in a taxi with her son and no baby seat was available.Does my grandson suddenly become impervious to harm while in a taxi??.

Taxis are one of the few exceptions to the law. http://www.rospa.com/roa...arryingchildren/laws.htm

I think this is based on the fact that taxi's are generally used for short journeys and that it would be impractical for all taxi's to carry all the different types of seats that could possibly be need.
