I would like to go on some kind of noise assessment course so I feel that I am competent to carry out noise assessments in my workplace.

Does anybody have any info on any organisations out there and would this contribute to my chartered membership.

Check out the courses offered by BOHS: www.bohs.org, and the Institute of Acoustics: www.ioa.org.uk

Hi Linzi

We recently undertook a three day course with Sypol. They came to us at a date that suited, I'm not sure if they run additional courses for a mixture of companies though.

The course was very in depth and the tutor, Ceiran was excellent. She can also give great advice on the type of noise meter and equipment you should be using. Good luck!

Linzi, as mentioned by Kathryn, Sypol runs a course that i have also just finished.

The tutor was Ceiran who was great and had a wide rage of experience.

Thumbs up for that one.

Why not look at the IOSH course on Noise Assessment?
