Posted By Alan E McKerns Hi, I'm looking for details on fire escapes specifically external stairwells on the first floor down and the requirements of the dimensions of these and travel distance etc. I've found various documents via barbour but am struggling for the specific one, can anyone help or advise. The general guidance re factories, Technical Annex 13.8 seems to include what you want - though the wording is very general, it does specify minimum height and width for an escape route - see http://www.infoscotland....files/GUIDE-FSP-an8.html
