Reportable or not?
Wet floor due to water splash from nearby sink. In place is sufficient floor surface for the foreseeable liquid contamination, sufficient lighting etc..
Scenario 1: Employee slips on wet floor (not necessary undertaking a particular work task at the time) and has over 3 days off work as a result or major injury.
Scenario 2: lawful visitor slipped in same water and attended A&E.
Does it have to be related to a workplace task to be reported?
Thanks in advance...

Sc1 agreed riddor
SC1 refer to regulation 2(2)(c) of RIDDOR if this incident falls within these decriptions (which it looks like it does) the reg 3(1)(c) is applicable
from your description you don't mention any control measures to mitigate a spillage. STF's are doing the rounds as an investigatable accident at the moment so you may well get a visit particularily because of two incidnets involving the samething this will raise eyebrows.
