Hi all
I am in the process of redeveloping the company accident data gathering system (MS Excel).
One of the costs (hidden)I would like to show is how much each accident has cost the company, however I am unsure of how to work this out.
My initial idea is the cost of any items used in the treatment (plasters etc) + the time lost in production volume + the cost of the IP and the 1st aider time + the cost of the investigators time.
At this moment in time we only work out the cost of any LTIs (in total number of days off).
I am hoping that being able to demonstrate to others within the company how much a cut finger for example is costing the company will focus minds on something that at the moment is considered not to be an issue.
Any help, formulas to use etc would be very much appreciated.
