Does anyone have a spare copy of Code of Practice 7 - Storage of Full and Empty LPG Cylinders and Cartridges.

Also, If anyone has a typical inspection checklist for LPG storage areas it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

If you contact your LPG supplyer they will provide you with a good source of information.

Thanks for your help Dave

It is the first time I had used the IOSH discussion forum and am pleased with the response.

I will add these documents to the huge file I have and book some reading time in over the weekend.

After a safety inspection by a safety consultant recently, he pointed out that our current LPG bottles storage location does not comply with the Guidance. As such we would like to relocate the bottles. Now, our production guy found that the 'best' available location for the LPG bottles is at external building wall (fire proof), 3m away from the fence & more than 3m away from main road, but it is on one of fire escape routes which is rarely used. The LPG bottles are kept in a cage and locked.
