Sorry if I should know this, but how much notice is required to HSE before removing asbestos prior to demolition.

It used to be via an ASB5 which (I think) was 14 days. Could be wrong though.

14 days and the powers that be have now decided that a day ceases at 1700 - so the days of getting the asb5 in by fax at 2355 to trigger the 14 days are now behind us

Posted By Merlin Notification of work with asbestos 9. —(1) Subject to regulation 3(2), an employer shall not undertake any work with asbestos unless he has notified the appropriate office of the enforcing authority in writing of the particulars specified in Schedule 1 at least 14 days before commencing that work or such shorter time before as the enforcing authority may agree.
