Posted By Dannii Simpson Hiya, i have been asked by a colleague if i can find out about the health and safety implications within a poultry farm. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on the specific hazards to be looking for other than the usual noise, manual handling etc. i have mentioned the idea of avain flu and health surveillance as a result but hope that you guys can help her out a little further. many thanks guys D

Posted By Peter Leese Rats, flies, salmonella and other pathogens, COSHH for the substances in use for red mite, HGV usage, conveyor belts etc. The list is quite large. I'm happy to discuss via email if your contact wishes.
