Is it me or has anyone else noticed the improvements to the IOSH Web Site? All of a sudden we see improvements like:
Get the Best campaign
Presidents Diary
Occupational Health Toolkit
IOSH News Feed
My IOSH - renew your membership online
Improved input from the moderators, taking a harder line on inappropriate requests for copyrighted materials etc
Report a concern on forum threads
Webinars
and CPD online

Have I missed something?

Congratulations to IOSH and the web team, including moderators for greatly improving our surfing experience. I can't wait to see whats going to happen next.

All good stuff except for the on line CPD. It's great until you try to use it then it resists you at every point!

Imagine using the online CPD format on a website where you finish up buying something.
Would you make many sales?

No!

Not intending to hijack this excellent thread but I will just respond to Gary.

IOSH have tried to be as helpful as possible over CPD on-line and some recent changes have made things even better. If you use MF as a browser instead of IE you may find it difficult to update, other than that there really shouldn't be a problem.

Please consider calling IOSH CPD they will help you all they can.

I managed to get on well with it and have subsequently assisted many IOSH members of differing grades to progress and in turn they now are able to help others. If I can be of any help don't hesitate to contact me and leave a number, I would be only to pleased to assist.

Good luck

The on-line CPD is not the easiest most user friendly software I have encountered; but compared to the range of problems which a practitioner might encounter in a typical day, it is a doddle. Regard it as a challenge and derive satisfaction from tackling it :) It is a big improvement on the piles of paper which we had to keep in the past.

But back to the original post, I think the website is in good shape and reflects well on IOSH. I think particular praise should go to the moderators of these forums. They have got the balance just right. I like their style - a light touch when it is needed and a heavier hand when appropriate.

But why can't IOSH just sort out the issues? Some of us have enough challenges already without having to deal with perverse software as well.
