Hello Everyone
I am Enuagune from Nigeria, I have my background in the social sciences but had a course with the NISP(Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals.I started my carrier as HSE Assistant and have today risen to the level of HSE Manager.I have attended over 15 HSE professional courses and have practiced with a very wonderful record for over 9 yrs. My problem is that several times I have tried to get a better job in any of these western countries but I have always been turned down. Could this be as a result of my Accademic background irrespective of my level of experience? Prefessional HSE Management courses are not offered in our Universities here, can somebody advice on how I can make it up if that is the cause?
Can somebody help me please!!!!!

keep plugging away - I was looking after safety in facilities management and wante to go down teh construction route - in order to make this transition - i took a signifcant pay drop and joined as an assistant when given the opportunity)
i proved my worth and am a successful manager (again) and on even more money than my facilities management post (sometimes you hve to sacrifice things to get what you want)
