Posted By Phillipe Can anyone recommend a provider for this NGC course? I am shortly going to be taking on a newbie from scratch in order to train and get their foot on the ladder so to speak.
I am based in Euston, London so anywhere in London would be good or surrounding area.
Usual places like Woodland Grange I am aware of already. Not bothered if it is residential or not.

Posted By Melanie Fellows I did mine which a provider called CHSS. It was two weeks long (with a 3 week gap in-between the weeks), with the exams being held the Monday following the final week.
They run courses around the country, one site being at Regent Park, Central London.
They have a very good pass rate (over 90%).
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link, so, they are on the Internet if you so a search. (Or contact me directly for the link).

Posted By Pauline Basingstoke College run this course on a day release basis over 12 weeks. They also run the Construction Cert and have an excellent track record. Candidate of the year for the Construction Cert came from there.

Posted By Philip Beale I've just completed the Nebosh course. I would suggest looking at a college that does the course one day a wekk over 11 or 12 weeks. rather than the intensive course. you have a lot more time to take the info in and opportunity to bring up issues with your work place.
Have a look at the nebosh site for recommended places. Also contact the college to see how they teach the course. the instructor i had supplied copies of the overheads which meant you didn't spend the whole day writing everything down. others i know who have done the course spent the whole lesson writing everything down and said they learnt very little as there was no time to discuss or ask questions.
