Is there anyone who can help me on the above topic. I primarily deal with Road Maintenance issues within an LA, and have been approached for some guidance and advice from another sector (Parks and Grounds)on grave digging, shoring and backfilling.

I have an understanding of shoring practices from roads (civils) background, but if anyone out there with actual grave digging experience could help me with some examples of risk assessments, safe method of works statements, advice on the best type of shoring to be used in graves (various ground conditions)etc.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.
Norrie.

In respect of backfilling - ensure you are out of the hole before backfilling commences ;]
