Posted By Corrina Evans A query to my colleagues in the health care profession-has anybody out there had manual handling issues with staff using shower chairs/commodes? The main problem is when the staff have to apply the back brakes of the chair whilst in a very small shower room, they are putting themselves at risk, the patient is unable to assist as they have mobility problems. I am aware that there are some manufacturers that make these products with brakes that can be put on /released by a push button operation. After spending most of the morning 'googling' for this with no success I thought it may be easier to ask for help from anyone who has had a similar problem. Many thanks Corrina

Posted By Bill Parkinson Hi Corrina
Have you contacted ARJO as I know that they do supply these types of chairs. We don't use them within our Trust but we may look to do in the future so let me know how you get on.
Regards
Bill
