Posted By Sally The HSE have part of their site dedicated to preventing slips, trips and falls in the education sector. Other than that good old google will bring up plenty of information. For Science either SSERCC (Scotland) or CLEAPPS will provide useful help (again a search will find their websites)

Posted By Ali-B Thanks for that.. We are a mainstream primary school with 6 statemented children. Two are usteady on their feet and although our equal opps are second to none there are areas such as movement around school and play in the yard which are potentially dangerous for them. Putting together risk assessments is ok but i'd really like to have some official bumpf to back these assessments up and in the same hand create useful documents for us and other schools in similar situations.

Posted By Jim Walker Have you approached your LA? Presumably they are ultimately responsible for what happens in your school.

Posted By Ali-B Thanks for the responses. I have approached the LEA and havent had much feed back. Im presuming each school has its own individual needs and has to write its own assessments and policies.
