Morning.

We have recently completed a project for a client and I am in the process of finishing the CDM handover file.

We used a grout for anchor installation. I just need the MSDS for this product basically to complete the file! Despite more than one request from the company it is not forthcoming. The trade name is Stratafast 2T (can't say the supplier name due to (i) AUG's and (ii) because normally they are very good). If anybody in the civils sector has one to hand could you email it over to me?

PS, before I receive some well-meaning advice, I know that we should have had it in advance of use so that we could undertake a COSHH assessment on its intended use. It was procured without my knowledge under local instruction, and the properties are identical to several other grouts we used for assessment purposes. Obviously though, the exact product MSDS needs to be submitted in the file.

Many thanks.

The MSDS for the uncured grout has no relevance for the H&S file unless you think the cured material may have harmful dusts, greater hazard potential than any other dusts, if subjected to drilling etc.

I sometimes become very uncomfortable at the amount of potentially extraneous material that is entering the H&S files.

Thanks Bob,

I agree. If you saw some of the other things the client were asking for this would be one of the less contentious additions!

So much for being able to give them advice. Some clients are very happen to listen while others think they know best.

This is not a small client either, Bob. Far from it.
