Posted By AlB A work vehicle driven in Wales comes under the Welsh legislation. However, it would be unrealistic and unreasonable for a vahicle based in England which only very occasionaly drives into Wales to bear the No Smoking sticker. If the vehicle is likely to travel into Wales (or Scotland for that matter) on a regular basis then it would be expected that suitable provision be made to conform to the legislation. Of course, the actual requirements of the law still applies - smoking in any work vehicle in Wales is illegal. Once that vehicle crosses the border it's fags out. The interesting debate from all this will come from people who opt out of a company car schme and goes for the cash option - the vast majority of companies state that that vehicle must still be made availale for the purpose of the business if required, hence making it a company car and falls under the regulaitons.
