Anybody come across portable cutting equipment for flags / kerbs etc where the cutting process is by the use of a water jet not a disc type cutting wheel and the equipment can be used on a site
I have; but outside of the UK and in manufacturing in the UK
Would cut down HAVS & dust problems

My experience of water jet cutting is that they operate at extreme pressures and can easily cut through steel at some pressures. I know that they are used in manufacturing but these are large units.
I'd be interested to see some demonstrations of ones being used on site.

I have seen ultra high pressure water cutting used on a 5000 m3 steel tank. We used it because we did not want to do hot work on a live plant.
It is expensive; surely a cost benefit analysis would rule it out in this case?

Thanks to all that responded
After talking to manufacturers they do not see why portable less costly equipment cannot be produced and such equipment would be very beneficial to the construction industry
