Posted By Ronan Can anyone provide any guidance on where to begin or how to mark out a joinery factory floor with tape? Thereby clearly identifying how close a non operative can get to a machine etc.

Posted By Merv Newman If you have the room to do it, then tape should mark out a 1 meter (3 feet) area around the machine. thus visitors cannot get within arms length of the operator.
I have also known this to be defined by black floor tiles or even carpet squares.
Such areas can also be qualified as "safety glasses/safety shoes" areas.
or any combination of the above.
Same markings and distances apply to fire extinguishers, safety/eye showers, emergency exits : no laydown or storage.
