Hi All,

recently i had a visit from the LFEPA at one of our sites, whilst i have an Emergency Fire plan, i have been requested by the LFEPA that it be updated.

Does anyone have a plan that i could have to compare mine against, this would enable me to see what is missing.

According to the LFEPA website list which i checked, i thought i had everything covered.

Thanks in advance of your replies

Regards

Mark, when you say ;fire plan' are you referring to a pictorial map of the floors of your building/site etc or are you referring to your 'fire action notice' i.e what to do in the event of a fire?

Actually i was refering to any documentation or instructions for emergency situation, namely fire in this instance. As i understand it all these documents together are supposed to result in an Emergency Fire Plan.

In simple terms:

List all the maintenance actions you perform preventative and protective, how and when and by whom; your log book should give you a good starter. THEN DEVISE AN EVACUATION PLAN

Mark

I have recently completed some fire and emergency plans, not sure if they would satisfy the LFB, but I don't see why not. They contain the following:

Plan of building(s) in Word (all floors separately) identifying emergency exits, fire extinguishers, electrical isolations, water stop-cocks, hydrants, lifts, rendezvous and muster points and any hazardous elements stored in the building e.g. flammables, gas bottles etc.

The building fire and emergency procedures i.e. fire wardens, first aiders (notices) disablement of lift etc.

Training and exercises including fire fighting for staff, evacuation drills and so on.

If I have left anything out I am sure somo
eone will let me know!

Hope it helps.

Ray
