Construction Sheet No 43

This information sheet gives guidance on the major
issues that could be included in the health and safety
plan for the construction phase which is required under
the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
1994 (CDM Regulations).

My question is, this document, is it still relevant in light of the CDM 2007 or has there been a revised information sheet:-
if so,
which one is it,
and /or
where could I find a link to it

I would suggest that the "CDM" CIS series are superseded by the guidance contained within the new CDM ACoP, L144 ISBN 978-0-7176-6223-4.
I don't know if the HSE have any plans to issue a revised CIS range to support CDM07. My view is they are not only no longer relevant, but that they are no longer required?

I cannot trace these CIS on the HSE website any longer but a google does pick them up. They need to be treated with caution as many of them are affected by the 07 changes. CIS 43 is possibly an exception as the duties for the CP plan are not significantly different. You need to check it carefully though to ensure there are no gaps. If you use the appendices of the acop as a checklist you will quickly spot the changes.
