Help Please.
we are about to supply and use a temporary footbridge for the public to use whilst the main bridge is under repair.
what first aid cover, if any, would we be required to provide. (purely for the public).

Gilbo,

You have no duty to provide First Aid to members of the public.

Hi Gilbo,

This is a starange question, who is supplying the temporary footbridge? I hope it is a competent bridge builder and you have checked out thier competence. It is for the buider to ensure the bridge is safe to use and must give you details of what it contains before it is used. Check the specification for the new temporary bridge to ensure it meets the legal requirements.

Bob,

No not a strange question! He asked whether he was required to provide first aid to the public.

Why is it that you thought that you needed to tell him how to do his work?
