Posted By Austin. U Goodmorning All, Please has anyone got a standard risk assessment for steel erection. Just trying to make sure there are no ommissions in the one submitted by a sub contractor. Regards, Austin.

Posted By CFT Austin It will be likely that WAH will form the majority of the assessment along with associated issues from WAH per se such as tools/equipment dropped, I can't comment specifically as I don't know the site as you would be the best judge to know if there was specific detailing the subby should consider, Delivery, loading, unloading, crane use, scaffold barriers as steels progress and any precast concrete stairs are installed, I would expect RA to focus heavily on multiple MEWP use, but the more important issue will be the overall SSOW. If you are used to assessing this type of work then just compare to recent projects that have run like clockwork; if it is a new project and you have not been involved in steel erection before then it may be wise to involve someone who can check all the intricacies. All the best CFT
