I have just decided to give up my work in IT support for Health and Safety. What is the best route to take in securing a health and safety job.

John,

I do not want to sound negative, but I would take a little bit more time to plan a career move before committing to one - failure to plan etc.

Based on the other responses, you may get, take your time - weight up the pros and cons - then make the decision.

Attend a local IOSH branch meeting - at talk to a few professionals - I doubt whether a generic question like your original post will afford anyone enough information to give you great, specific career development advice

PS all the best - whatever you decide to do
