I have just been asked to expand on the "concern" expressed earlier this week nationally about the safety of "white boards". Anyone help?

Whilst it may not be an issue that kills many people the possibility of losing sight is a serious health & safety risk, especially to those like me who only have vision in one eye anyway.

It is also one which has easily appliable control measures.

To suggest it is 'elf & safety' overreacting is a little unfair I think.

Sally, True, but it just goes to show you can never underestimate people.

Now call me a silly old sausage but I'd have thought teachers (whom I assume are at least partly educated people)could work out for themselves (dynamic risk assessment!!) that looking into bright lights was not a good idea.
