Posted By Jonf Could anyone advise me if the "pull down" visors within hard hats are suitable for use with Stihl saws?

Posted By Chris G Having been issued with such a hard hat recently, my first thought was what a good idea. I then looked at the EN code and realised it offered the second lowest level of protection. When worn the visor fits so close to your face that it cannot be worn with glasses. Both of these reasons made it useless. I now have a visorless helmet that is suitable for use with EN 166 9A eye protection. The person who issued the 1st helment is now aware of the problems of eye protection when wearing helmets Chris

Posted By Jonf Many thanks for the above, answer has to be to make better use of "proper" eye protection (B4 standard).
