Hi
Er...sorry to ask, but do desks come in different heights!? I have an employee who is complaining that her desk is too low down.
Sorry.

The majority of new ones have adjustable legs so you can change the height

Blocks with a recessed hole for the desk legs are commercially available to raise the height of desks or if you are a bit handy you could make them with the advantage you could make them exactly the right height

Most desks are about 720mm but they do come lower. Some people do need a higher desk if they have long legs, as mentioned above many modern desks will be adjustable.

I am 6'3" - the standard desk is OK for me - I used a propriety guidance from a large company beginning with C for workstation assessment. also the guidance given by the furniture company on how to adjust their chairs. Persons with little legs we have provided with foot rests these are adjustable. Just how tall is the person concerned?
For assessment use this www.e-officesafety.co.uk its free and is a good training aid

Whilst working in a office where basic desks were put in place for the scanning machines. A lot of complaints were that the scanners were too high off the desk in order for a seated person to feed paper into the scanner. A lot of Musculoskeletal Disorders were noted into the accident book because of improper risk assessments. All of these desks had to be adjusted much lower in order for individuals to feed the scanners. Yes of course chair adjustments have to be made for individuals but a chair will only go up so high or low. Sometimes a desk needs adjustment too!
A lot of common sense needs to prevail.
No offense to anyone at all just an observation and comment on my behalf.
