One of my clients has asked me for advice.
A worker is required to wear cartridge type RPE while using a trichloroethylene degreaser. The employee says he suffers from claustophobia and cannot wear the mask for any length of time.
I have already suggested seeking out an alternative substance but nothing the employer has trialled works as well.
Any thoughts please?

Your client has a problem. This product is a Class 2 carcinogen and RPE doesn't cut it as an accepted control. Substitute or segregate.May be stringent environment enforcement issues too
