Hi. I'm in the process of putting together a manual handling presentation, part of which is on team handling... I'm after some diagrams like the one's in the HSE guidance book on the reg's.. I can easily find those for individual lifting but not for team? any idea's??

Reading your post the first thing that occurred to me was if something requires a team to lift it can the activity possibly be mechanised?
This maybe an explanation of why you cannot find any pictures showing a team lift.

Hi Simon. Thanks for your reply, but I'm aware that this type of task should be looked at re' mechanisation but as team lifting forms part of the regulations (& figure 20 of such regulations) shows a team lift (2 people), I was hoping that I too could use this for presentation purposes only.

Sometimes it is not possible to mechanise a task for more than one due to constraints of space etc. So your are right to show a team lift in your presentation. I have a graphic which shows a two man lift if that would help your presentation. Send an email and I will send it to you.
Have you had a look at the videos on www.safetycare.co.uk. they do a good video on Manual handling which shows how to do a two man lift. Sometimes moving pictures can tell a thousand words so to speak.
