Hello All
Could anybody provide me a list of things which are most important during HSE inspections? like: MS, RA, welfare facilities, fire plan... the best would be in order from which things they are starting or which are most important,
I really appreciate your help.
Thanks
Lukasz

Have some PPE for them to wear during the inspection.
If heavy, or any, industry then tell them they cannot go onto the workshop floor without protective footwear, which you don't have.
Hardhats, insist they wear them.
Hearing protection, that as well.
Dirty environment ?
Insist they wear boiler suits.
Don't forget the eye protection, even if they have their own insist they wear yours....you don't know whether theirs are ok.
Don't let them touch any machinery, if they insist then insist they produce evidence of training and safety knowledge.
Point out to them that you have a duty of care to your workforce, and as far as you can see they present a major risk.

You could also point-out that the workforce considers H&S inspectors as a bunch of wasters and you cannot guarantee their safety if "they" find-out who they are.
Last inspection the only thing they found to whinge about was that management didn't offer them safety specs.....

The loading and unloading of vehicles and the provisions for doing this safely i.e. access/egress and fall protection or mitigation

Also emergency procedures - especially of those working at height i.e. suspended in harness or from roof nets

Housekeeping and tidyness. HSE is trying to help you to stop harming people so I am rather wondering what the sudden rush is about, you may need a general review of how you perform. Good luck. Liz Bennett

I would suggest that a good starting point would be "The Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan" Which should address many of the items already discussed.
