Hi.
Are there any spefic ratio's that residential care homes are meant to abide by?
I'm currently working in a YPD unit where we currently have 23 residents, 2 of whom have spefic one to one care one between 8am and midnight and the other between 8pm and 8am, I understand that the staff for these are not then counted in the rest of the staff ratios.
If anyone could help answer this I would be most grateful as I'm almost sure my employers are not following any procedures at the moment.

Hi Donna,
If people have 1:1 it is normal practice for the staff involved to be regarded as supernumerary as they aren't available for any other duties,
