I am giving a presentation on accident statistics within our company and one column i have came across is OSHA recordable accidents, could someone please explain what these are.

The Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act of 1970 requires certain employers to prepare and maintain records of work-related injuries and illnesses. This is similar to the UK's RIDDOR requirements.

You will get a very good summary of the requirements in the following document;
