Can any of yous wonderful people offer some guidance on the use of an indoor crane within a glass factory.

There appears to be very little guidance out there.

This may help :)
Treat this crane as any other crane basically. Ensure that those using the crane are properly trained in slinging techniques and crane use.
Does it have lights on it and perhaps and audible warning systems etc.I would also hope that there is a keep clear type zone. A hatched area and a setting down and loading bay perhaps.

There are special and specific rules for the safe use of cranes in glass factories/warehouses/ distribution. I recommend you seek further advice from the GGF.
Best practice requires that operators have specific glass handling training and that no-one should be able to immediately access a flat glass processing or handling area especially where overhead cranes may be used for moving flat glass around. Access into hazard areas whilst glass is being moved by overhead crane must be restricted to essential personnel and only those wearing suitable ppe.
