Quick question for you environmental experts out there. Is there any legal obligation for a company to report a major leak or spillage?

If it's entered controlled waters then yes you must report - to the environment ageny.

If its nasty and gone down the sewer, think of the poor old sewage worker working on the drains in question. Worse still, affect the treatment plant and they'll trace it back to you!
