Posted By CFT I can't for the life of me find the legislation/ACoP that refers one to yearly testing of non-domestic gas installations; help greatfully appreciated.

Posted By Alan Hoskins Doesn't specify a frequency though, MT.
It shall be the duty of every employer or self-employed person to ensure that any gas appliance, installation pipework or flue installed at any place of work under his control is maintained in a safe condition so as to prevent risk of injury to any person.
(I don't know the answer)

Posted By MT True. You won't find a specified test frequency for gas appliances, however, we (LA) enforce on the basis of 12 monthly inspections by CORGI registered engineers, that being taken as the recommended interval and accepted best practice.

Posted By CFT Many thanks for taking the time to respond, it was the differential between best practice and legislative demands for 12 monthly testing and inspection I was specificity requiring.
Thanks again

have a look at Reg 36 paragraph 3 of the Gas Regs ! I think you'll find the info there regarding test periods.

Posted By CFT Many thanks to you all; it is in fact;
36(3)(a)as suggested. I was certainly unaware of the requirement in 36(3)(b) regarding new lease, after termination whether existing client renewing or not!
Thanks again, really appreciated.

Posted By Alan Hoskins That one applies to landlords and not to employers, John.

Posted By CFT As a commercial landlord as well as an employer, I suppose I should have said 'landlord'.
Thanks
