please can anyone provide me in writing the correct distance that filing cabinets should be placed away from the employee and which way they should be facing ?

11 cu metres is the space one should have around you (ACoP)I would suggest the FC should be placed in such a way as to not cause a WRULD or RSI when reaching, or be a trip hazard when the drawers are opened etc; I can't advise on which way they should face as I have only ever thought of them being one way round, I may have missed the point, or plot on that part of the question though.
