Posted By Edel Breslin Myself and my colleague have been called for an interview for the above course and part of this will be based on a mathematical question - I am just wondering if anyone has completed such or could advise what possible equation/question we could be given
Kind Regards

Posted By ivorfire As a fire safety professional the only thing that springs to mind which would be relevant for general awareness is information around the calculation of determing the safe permitted numbers for an given area; balanced against the available exit widths of the fire exits. Example 1 Not sure if this permitted, but this is an example of plugging "means of escape calculation" into goggle; see about half way down. http://www.firesafe.org....html/guides/basicmoe.htmExample 2 Although the legislation has been changed the calculation from the heading; ASSESSING MAXIMUM SAFE OCCUPANCY FIGURES is very valid. http://www.manchesterfir...rk/licensed_premises.pdfTwo examples, Hope this helps.
