Posted By Peter Haughey Hi, can anyone help me with a simple example of Fault Mode Event Analysis (FMEA)? Ideally something construction related (collapse of MEWP or scaffold, etc?). Thanks

Posted By Rakesh Maharaj Peter,
It is unlikely that you will encounter an FMEA for MEWPs - let alone the collapse of one. I have access to process engineering type FMEAs which you are most welcome to.
Let me know.

Posted By Robert Jones If you want to assess the contributing factors, and their likelihood of occurrence, associated with an undesired event, such as the collapse of scaffolding, would not a top down approach such as Fault Tree Analysis be more appropriate.

Posted By Peter Haughey Thanks for your response guys, much appreciated. The reason I said it was for a MEWP was that my NVQ assessor suggested that as an example. I take the point that it may not be suitable, though I am hoping to find something construction related, not as complex as most of the process engineering samples I have see. But thanks anyway! Pete
