Posted By Rob T Hi All,
this may in the first instance seem extremely basic stuff but that said - can anyone define (in a paragraph or less) what exactly a "Safe Working Environment" is? I could do this in about 4 pages with all the get out's, legal terminology, etc. etc. Is there something in short that could include all types of work e.g. office, engineering, shipping, chemicals etc. and not completely tie your hands legally if given to a customer?
The best we've had so far was from a non-safety person and that is because I think we, at times, delve too deeply!
Cheers Rob

Posted By Wayne Harris Rob,
I have seen the following statement used several times by companies as a definition for a safe working environment.
"A working environment, location or process that is without risk to injury, damage or loss as far as is reasonably practicable"
Hopefully this will start the ball rolling for others to add their own or others definitions.
