I am currently doing some research before writing an emergency response plan, but have been advised to steer clear of the name of incident controller. basically my company has approximately 2000 employees and we will have approximately 90 fire wardens. Obviously someone needs to coordinate all these people as well as the information from fire wardens and pass this and other info to the fire brigade, so what do we call this person??

our site employeeea bout 400 people and we have recently trained key people up in the role of incident commanders (based in a n office in communication by radio phone), Incident coordinator (do the running around and report back to incident commander), it's not intended just for fire evacuations but any incident (bomb threat, chemical spill, power failure etc)

when one persons needs to liase with several people and departments at once, as well as emergency services. and will take control of the situation using the co-ordinators as assistance / tools with as many as 2000 people to look after i would have thought you may need to look at this.

Incident commander?

I dont think it would matter if they were called George as long as their responsabilities are clearly defined
