Does anyone have experience with permit applications and the management strategy for Cranes and other Tall Construction within the vicinity of Airports.

i believe there is voluntary code of practice for the safe use of cranes in around airports available and was wondering if someone could point me the direction of other useful information guidance for this situation.

i am aware of the criteria of structure height in excess of 10m i.e crane and 6km radius of an airport for an application to be made to the "airfield manager".

Incredible how useful these forums (fora?) are at times...

I was needing to find out the rig height and airfield distance parameters today. I knew there was a simple guide somewhere but couldn't remember where I'd seen it - and then I recalled this posting.
