How do the 30,000 plus members filter down into each membership category?

We have an instant access database so at the moment there are:
31,562 Total Membership of which:
3,900 are Affiliate Members
10076 are Technician Members
3013 are M/FIOSH currently transferring to Chartered via the transitional arrangements
2341 are Graduate Members
10959 are Chartered Members and 577 are Chartered Fellows.
The balance is made up of 657 retired members and 39 Honorary members.
So Technician Members represent 31.9%, Chartered Members and Fellows (i.e. Chartered Safety and Health Practitioners) 36.6%
Affiliates 12.35%, Graduate Members 7.4% and those completing to Chartered 9.54%.
This is actually not a fixed figure as with our new entry process a good number of the current Affiliate Members will transfer to either Graduate or Technician Member once their membership has been approved by the Fellowship and Membership Sub-Committee.

Astonished we have 31000 members, interesting we have roughly the same amount of Technians as Chartered.

Don't forget to add the transferring members to the Chartered group. This 3013 are all due to transfer at the end of the year which will mean that will mean that there are 14549 Chartered Members which is about 46% of the membership. Bearing in mind that Graduate Members also have higher level qualifications and that the retired members may have been Chartered then another 9.5% have been or will be in this group.
We have added another 8 members since I posted this response!
