Posted By Carrell If they are on a replacement basis then get your supplier to dispose of the old ones (not forgetting to ensure they comply with the waste laws - carrier's license, transfer notes, etc.). If you can do this then it should be FOC.
If you purchase from a shop then ask their advice, it may be that they offer the same as above.

Posted By Karen Wilson Contact your local authority. Many of the council recycling centres will take these free of charge now. Many of the manufacturers of electrical goods have also paid some suppliers a sum of money to collect damaged products for disposal. Check with your supplier of new hairdryers if they will dispose of your old ones on your behalf.
