As part of a “flexible working” policy, our company are thinking of allowing staff to work at home up to one day a week if the want to. There will be no requirement or compulsion on them to do so.

The company does not intend to provide any specific equipment to enable them to do this.

They want to provide guidance and a checklist on DSE etc. and expect staff to declare if they have suitable arrangements or not. If they cannot show they have a suitable working environment they will not be allowed to homework.

I am fully aware of what we would need to do if we had staff who were REQUIRED to work from home but less sure when it is the employees choosing to for their own benefit.

Has anyone got any similar policies etc. and any thoughts.
