Posted By Antony Draper Dear All,
The business that I work for will be holding a safety conference for all key personnel at the end of November and I would like to secure the services of a Motivational Health & Safety speaker.
Topics that I would like to be covered would range from ensuring that the 'basics' of safety are implemented and managed to the importance of embedding a safety culture throughout the business.
If anyone has any suggestions, contacts or colleagues that may be able to help me find the right person to do this I would be very grateful.
Best regards
Antony Draper

Posted By Colin Reeves There is a gentleman, Ken Woodward, who was totally blinded in an industrial accicent. His talks are very much worthwhile. I do not have contact details for him, but a previous thread may be of help. cannot recommend him too highly. http://www.iosh.co.uk/in...iew&forum=1&thread=19356Colin

Posted By PH We recently used Frank Carrano at a 2 day seminar. He talks about the impact of his accident on himself and those around him with real passion and it had a fantastic effect on the delegates. You can contact him through his website: www.accident-awareness.co.ukRegards, P.

Posted By Matt Dove Actually, I recently learned that Lattitude's, 'Hindsight - The Ken Woodward Story' is his only official safety training package, as its the first time Ken himself has been directly involved in putting the material together for the content.
You can view a free preview of the new film here: a href="http://www.lattitudeproductions.co.uk/Pages/Hindsight.html">b>Hindsight - The Official Ken Woodward Story/b>/a>.

The 'important of embedding a safety culture' is similar to the case for cultivating employee wellbeing.
Cary Cooper, CBE, is a good motivational speaker on this subject; as he dwells on attractions of benefits rather than fears, the tone of his messages are easier to recall positively.

Posted By Delwynne The guy at Mindsafety that David refers to is probably Eddie Woods. We have used him extensively across all levels of the business and his talks have been very well received.

Posted By garyh I once was a speaker at a HSE conference in the US where Charlie Morecraft ("Remember Charlie") was one of the speakers.
He is immense. You could always show the video as he costs a few quid to hire!!
