Anchor points in domestic premises when working at height

Does anyone have any knowledge / experience of securing anchor points inside peoples domestic premises when working on windows etc. at height?
Have seen a brief reference to dead weights but was wondering if their are some standard anchor points that can be found in most domestic premises? Door frames?
Thanks

A door frame is is not an anchor point, your looking at something that is either specifically fitted for the purpose (eyebolts) or something that is designated as part of the structure (steel beams etc...)
Neither is generally found in domestic properties but eyebolts can be fitted. They have to be inspected and tagged every 6 months (LOLER) but would be the homeowners liability
Also, it would probably be cheaper to hire out a MEWP or use a scaffold tower (if you have enough access) as to install eyebolts is at least £110 each with a minimum of 1 per window then the costs of the updated tests. It also depends if the wall by the window is structually sound enough to withstand the weight test.

You might have to be inventive as it would have to be reasonable for the ordinary client to accept or they will get someone else.
I have seen a 3m floor joist sat across a door with an anchor point in the middle. You would have to pull the beam through the wall (brick) before it would let go. Like securing scaffolding by having a section through a window opening to tubing across the inside.

Thanks for the responses.
Unfortunately all the premises are private homes and our maintenance engineer spends enough time arguing use of his safety footwear so doubt they'd let you instal a fixed anchor point and then accept responsibility for its maintenance.
Think we will just have to be inventive.
Cheers all.

The product reffered to in the above thread is actually a bespoke design door frame jam which expands and has a tested anchor point in the middle for attachment.
NOT a precise science, but often the only option.
A number of years ago I was involved in developing the technique adopted by SKY TV, their Contractors and many Aerial Installers which involves the use of a temporary anchor bolt which the ladder is braced to and secondary fall protaction is used.
This significantly improved ladder access and could be used across all industries, if you would like to know more please email me at richard@totalaccess.co.uk and I will send you further information on this method of work...
