Posted By Barry J I wonder if anyone could please inform me of the difference between a "Fire Warden" and a "Fire Marshall" and the duties they have? Thanks in advance

Posted By Richie H Barry,
Maybe i am wrong, and hope i dont get hung out to dry here, but i am sure it is just terminology - they are both one of the same, thus duties are the same.
Cheers

Posted By CFT We use the Marshal as the main coordinator and the fire wardens to check the assembly point etc but wait for the signal from the Marshall so that they may return to work.

Posted By PH It just depends on what your company likes to call them. One of our clients has fire wardens doing the building sweeps etc. and the fire marshall coordinating the assembly point. You can call them what you like really as long as they fulfill their function. Regards, P.

Posted By Ken John I believe you are right. It is just the terminology.

Posted By Konstanty Budkiewicz Barry, We follow PH's approach. Just ensure that your fire policy/procedure identifies roles and responsiblities correctly and you can then call the posts whatever you like. After all its your train set.
